Do you know someone needing short-term work? The Expanded Public Works Programme is a government programme aimed at the alleviation of poverty and unemployment.

The EPWP focuses at reducing unemployment by increasing economic growth by means of improving skills levels through education and training and improving the enabling environment for the industry to flourish

EPWP endeavours to provide accredited training to its beneficiaries in the form of:

Skills programmes – Occupationally-directed programme, which comprises of a pre-registered cluster of unit standards.

Learnerships – Structured learning programme within a specific industry, which is unit standard based and comprises of more than 120 credits.

Artisan Development – Technical training system, including both practical, theoretical and Workplace learning components offered in designated trades to achieve artisan status.

The only way to get on this programme is to go to your nearest Subcouncil and Register on the database.

You need to:

visit your nearest Sub-council Office
bring along Curriculum Vitae
Identity Document
or South African work permit to register
